Hey everyone I wanted to share my personal journey with the side effect of having Covid. I know it’s definitely not a sexy topic but I personally know numerous people who are dealing with this side effect.
I started noticing my hair loss around 8 weeks after having Covid. Average time is 6-10 weeks when you can notice extreme hair loss.
The hair you see in this picture is from this morning. I’ve always brushed my hair before getting in the shower as some hair loss is normal and the hubby appreciates it not clogging the drain. LOL!
The wet hair is from washing it. As you can tell I have considerable amount of strands coming out at a time. My hair also feels much thinner after having Covid. From my research that I’ve done and speaking to doctors, the hair loss side effect can last up to 9 months.
Normal daily hair is about 150 strands a day, but that can vary from person to person.
I myself am about 3 1/2 months into my journey with the hair loss.
Vitamins, collagen and AVEDA’s Invati line have been my go to’s for helping me recover from not continuing to loose so much hair on a daily basis.
