Our Employee of the Month, Melissa, spills some secrets!

"The best accessory any girl should wear, is simply her smile."

Meet Melissa! She has been with the Trixies team since last September, but we thought you might want to get to know our Employee of the Month a little bit more with some fun facts! The next time you are at Trixies Uptown, be sure to tell her hello! Enjoy! xoxo

Melissa has always had a passion for the beauty industry. By the age of nine, she knew this is what she wanted to do, and by twelve, she knew she was going to attend the Aveda Institute-Minneapolis. After graduating in 2002 she moved back to Iowa and has been in Des Moines since. Prior to joining the Trixies team in 2016, Melissa has attended many classes to keep up on the latest Aveda trends and techniques, near and far. Melissa also completed the Aveda Color Mastery — Learn Series as well as attended Aveda's Advanced Academy in New York.

When she's not working at Trixies, you can find her spending time with her son, or friends and family. She enjoys live music on patios, delicious foods, crafts and lots of laughter!!
